Together, we honour the past and celebrate a future built on unity, hope, and peace.

Woolaston Parish Council will be commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE day and 80 years of peace since the end of World War II in Europe, with the lighting of a lantern in the Playing Field at Woolaston Memorial Hall at 2130 on Thursday 8th May 2025.

Beacons and Lamp Lights of Peace will shine across the UK – symbolising the enduring strength of our communities.

VE Day is not only a tribute to those who fought for freedom but a powerful reminder of the resilience and unity that have defined our country ever since.

Together, we honour the past and celebrate a future built on unity, hope, and peace.

Light refreshments will be available from 2100 – feel free to come along to commemorate with the Parish Council.
