Are you prepared for the general election on 4 July? Voters are encouraged to make sure they are prepared to make sure they can vote. Electors need to be registered to vote by Tuesday, 18 June.

Are you prepared for the general election on 4 July?
To take part in any election anyone over the age of 18 must be registered in the area they live in. Some people eligible to vote may not be registered and therefore will not be able to cast a vote. This may be because they have recently moved or are voting for the first time.
Registering to vote
If you are not already registered to vote, you can do so online at: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
You must register by midnight on Tuesday 18 June to be able to vote at this election.
Postal voting
If you would like to vote by post, you can apply online at: www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote.
You must apply by 5pm on Wednesday 19 June to be able to receive a postal vote for this election.
Proxy voting
If you would like to vote by proxy, you can apply online at: www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote
You must apply by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June to be able to vote by proxy at this election.
Voter Authority Certificates
If you don’t have an acceptable form of ID to use at the polling station, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.
You can apply online at: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
You must apply by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June to receive this document for the election on 4 July.
